At the heart of the system is a newly designed pump featuring a user-friendly LED touch panel with four customizable alternating cycles—10, 15, 20, and 25 minutes—giving clinicians precise control over therapy. A seat-inflate feature helps protect patients in the Fowler position, while a max firm mode allows for quick inflation and a static mode provides firm support for safe entry, exit, or side-edge seating. For added safety, the pump includes three audible and visual alarms for low pressure, power failure, and alternating failure.

The mattress itself is built around a unique cell-on-cell design with a one-way valve that holds air in the lower 4″ of the cells in the event of a power failure, ensuring continued protection. Eighteen laser holes keep the patient cool and dry, and the quilted nylon top cover is fluid resistant, anti-microbial, and anti-bacterial for added comfort, while a pillow-top feature helps prevent unnecessary head and neck movement during alternating mode.
