The Proactive Medical Protekt® Supreme Support is an innovative self-adjusting air/foam mattress engineered to deliver superior pressure redistribution and comfort for patients spending extended time in bed, including bariatric patients with weight capacities up to 700 lbs. At the heart of the system is Proactive’s proprietary Equalization Technology, which employs 10 interconnected air cells and pressure valves that continuously and automatically respond to patient movement and position changes, redistributing weight to maximize body surface contact and relieve pressure. The top layer features Visco Gel Polymer Technology (VGPT™), an open-cell visco memory foam infused with gel polymers that provides rapid heat dissipation, enhanced breathability, and excellent pressure redistribution — keeping patients cooler and more comfortable than traditional foam mattresses. A strategically designed sloped heel section further reduces pressure on vulnerable heel areas by redistributing load to the less susceptible lower leg, helping improve circulation and protect skin integrity. The stretch nylon top cover is fluid-resistant, anti-microbial, anti-bacterial, breathable, and fire retardant for added hygiene and safety. For patients requiring a higher level of care, an optional alternating pressure pump seamlessly converts the Protekt® Supreme Support into a fully dynamic powered air mattress, making this a highly versatile and scalable therapeutic solution. Available in a range of widths and lengths, the system is backed by a 5-year non-prorated warranty on the mattress and an 18-month warranty on the optional pump.
