The Protekt 1st Defense Hybrid Alternating Air Mattress combines dynamic pressure redistribution with low air loss therapy to deliver advanced support and skin protection. At its core, a high-density, resilient foam insert creates a comfortable pressure-redistribution surface, sloping from 2″ down to 1″ to provide extra protection in the vulnerable heel area, while a top cover insert pocket shields the foam from contamination. The dynamic pressure pump, preset to a 10-minute alternating cycle, works alongside an adjustable air flow dial that lets caregivers customize pressure levels to each patient’s needs, and a static mode offers a firm, stable surface for safe entry and exit. Every detail is designed with care and durability in mind, from the waterproof, vapor-permeable, low-shear, anti-microbial nylon top cover to the optional foam raised side rails for added security.
